Awarded With a Liebster

liebster_award1

I get so tickled by the love that I get on my blog.  Recently I was nominated for a Liebster Award by The Woman Invisible http://www.thewomaninvisible.wordpress.com.  I am thankful for her appreciation of my poetry and honored by the acknowledgement.  I very much enjoy reading her blog, which is full of witty, engaging posts about her experiences with ending her marriage and seeking an affair.  Her stories are fascinating for a single gal like me who hasn’t even gotten my ears wet with a marriage, let alone an affair.

This award comes with a lot of juicy questions for me to answer, but awards on wordpress also come with rules, and everyone knows I am a good little girl so of course I am following the rules and let’s be clear about what those are.   Then we will get to my intimate confessions.

1. Thank the person who nominated you and post a link to their blog on your blog.

Again thanks to The Woman Invisible http://www.thewomaninvisible.wordpress.com, you are very sweet.

2. Display the award on your blog by including it in your post and/or displaying it using a “widget” or a “gadget”.

I have done so, though I’m sure you’d probably prefer to see a pic of my gorgeous boobs.

3. Answer 11 questions about yourself which will be provided to you by the person who nominated you.

My answers are posted below for all inquiring minds.

4. Provide 11 random facts about yourself.

Nothing about me is random but I’ll try.

5. Nominate 5 – 11 blogs you feel deserve this award, who have less than 1000 followers.

How to choose when I love you all so much…

6. Create a new list of questions for the blogger to answer.

I am consulting my crystal ball on the most pertinent questions.

7. List these rules on your post.

Once you have written and published it, you then have to:

8. Inform people/blogs that they have been nominated for the Liebster Award and provide a link for them to your post so they can learn about it (they might not have heard of it!) .

This is a no brainer for me.  I can’t keep a secret for nothing.

Okay, okay, okay phewf; we’re done with the rules, now to the goods.

11 Facts About Me:

1. I am a classic Millennial; I value traveling, creative projects, community, and having experiences over stability and material possessions.

2. I communicate with the spirits of plants and especially edible plants.  One of my fondest such memories was of a conversation I had with Coffee Bean.

3. I am extremely knowledgable about gourmet cheeses.  I once opened up a cheese shop for a large corporation due to my expertise.

4. I studied yoga in South India and experienced Tantric revelation while there, riding the wave of one particularly powerful orgasm.

5. I am not afraid of death, only sometimes of life.

6. Nothing physically unsafe has ever happened to me.  I grew up in a functional loving family.  I really don’t have any excuses.

7. I wanted to be a writer since the age of six when I first learned to write.

8. I am extremely gifted at finding the most delicious food in any location or situation.  I am great to hang with you if you like to eat well.

9. I am a California state licensed massage therapist and give amazing yummy massages.

10.  Kids adore me but I have not yet had any children of my own.  I hope to some day.

11. My family is the goofiest and on special occasions we often compose funny songs and poems for each other.

11 Questions from The Woman Invisible for me to answer:

1. Are you more honest in your blog than real life?

It just depends on who I am talking to.  I am very honest with my close confidants.  One particularity about me is that I don’t really believe in confidentiality.   I believe all that is known allows us to understand more and grow.  If anything I am always seeking to perceive truth at a deeper level.
2. Do you believe in monogamy?

“Believe” is a funny word.  I wish I could have a monogamous relationship with a man that I adore.  However I am not seeing the proof in the pudding that this is possible for me right now.  I am aware that monogamous relationships are difficult to maintain, especially in American society today where it seems that the social fabric does not really support them.  My parents have a strong monogamous relationship, but they are working with a cultural model that is related to our Jewish ancestry in Eastern Europe.
3. What’s the sexiest thing about you?

It’s hard to know what is sexy about yourself, what others perceive in you, but I suspect that in my case what people are drawn to is my sensual comfort in my own skin.  I have a deep grounding in my knowing of the beauty of being human and the love that emanates from this place.  Even though sometimes my spark has diminished I have always managed to rekindle it and keep it alive.
4. Have you ever met another blogger?

No, though I have had a couple near misses with the amazing Sahar of http://www.exoticescortdiary.com.  She is like a soul sister to me.  I still hope to meet with her sometime.

5. What’s your favorite color and why?

My favorite color is pink.  It is so soft and feminine, so sweet.  I love sweetness.
6. What song/song lyrics can always make you cry? Include a clip here….

A boyfriend played this song for me on my birthday once.  This song is bittersweet for me because I wish life was more like a Rainbow Country.
7. Summer or Winter?

Summer definitely.  I love tropical places best.  I moved to California and left all the cold behind.
8. Best sex ever? And don’t leave out the good parts….

This is a hard one; often times when I have wonderful sex I write a poem about it to revisit that moment again.   I think right now my favorite time was pretty recently, the last time I reunited with my lover after a period of separation.  We were so hungry for each other.  I find you are best able to savor the flavors when you are truly hungry.  Each touch was like a revelation.  I was so turned on; I came like 10 times.  My lover was so aroused that he came twice and stayed hard without skipping a beat, before he finally washed out on the third time.  My poem about that experience was called  Bittersweet https://eroticapoetica.wordpress.com/2014/05/02/bittersweet-2/

9. Just how crazy are you?

I am crazy enough that twice I had viral meningitis and believed that I was being energetically attacked.   But I am not wild and erratic in my behavior for the most part.  I may seem crazy with my metaphysical beliefs but I do not act crazy; I’m pretty stable and steady.
10. Sex, drugs, or rock and roll? What’s your poison?

Sex definitely.

11. What is the sexiest thing you have posted? Add the link here.

Hmmm…I post a lot of sexy stuff.  I think my sexiest might have been a little story called Break Me Open: A Tale of Erotic Massage https://eroticapoetica.wordpress.com/2013/10/01/break-me-open-a-tale-of-erotic-massage/

Shine On, My Love

photo-158

I just discovered that my blog eroticapoetica was nominated for a Shine On award by the lovely lady wordsmith at http://dreamy4me.wordpress.com

I would like to thank this dreamy poetess for visiting and enjoying and giving a lil shout out to me.  In the spirit of generosity I decided I will also spread the love and pass on some nominations to other bloggers who touch my heart with their writing in some way.

shineon1

THE RULES ARE:

1. Display the award logo on your blog.

2. Link back to the person who nominated you.

3. State 7 things about yourself

4. Nominate other bloggers for this award and link to them.

5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award requirements.

7 THINGS ABOUT ME (corresponding to the 7 larger chakra centers):
1. Root Chakra.  Nature is very sensual for me.  It is alive and present to communicate with.  It is full of its own history, its own love, its own sadness, its own hopes and dreams and good humor.  It was the redwood trees that invited me to California, to come here and heal my life at a time when I was feeling very broken.  I like to dream of making love out in the woods, of sharing my pleasure and blessings with the Earth Mother.
2. Pelvic Chakra.  Ever since I was a child, I have always noticed that at the moment of orgasm, I am flooded with an image of last night’s dream that I awoke to.  Orgasm propels me to the inner space of dreamtime.  I wonder if this is so for everyone?
3. Power Chakra.  I express my power in an inward sense, not on the surface.  I express my power through the skillful direction of my thoughts and intention, something I have put a lot of work towards.  In a moment I can change the course of my day, perhaps the course of my whole life.  It is a thrilling power to know yourself as the creator of your own experience, but very frustrating when you run into your own limitations.
4. Heart Chakra.  It is easy for me to love, whatever that means.  But I do not believe that “being in love” is anything akin to the freedom of real love, unconditional blessings for what is, as it is.  I am honest with myself about my true motivations in relationships, all the good, bad and ugly so to speak.
5. Throat Chakra.  Some people live to write poetry about their life.  That would be me he he.
6. Third Eye Chakra.  I am quite psychic about what happens in my own life.  Being psychic means that you are rarely surprised by what happens.
7. Crown Chakra.  The more I have learned about spirituality, the more I have turned inward to seek the divine within myself.
So there is a rare bit of prose about me…now here are a list of my own nominations, as I appreciate the opportunity to read what you beauties share too.  Thank you all for your appreciations and inspirations.
Blessings to all, Pua Nani

Fabulous Gutter Blogger

photo-76

I was tickled with delight recently to have the dubiously illustrious title of Fabulous Gutter Blogger bestowed upon me by Ms. Pussy of the Cliterary Review http://www.cliteraryreview.com.  She so kindly said of my little blog eroticapoetica: “Erotic poetry at its best.  A truly sensual experience in highbrow gutter. ;) And yes, that is a compliment!”

Thanks, darling.    Ms. Pussy also offered a little background to the concept of “gutter blogging” which has apparently garnered its own definition from Urban Dictionary, which I will quote for you here (since I love the cleverness so often displayed by UD’s definers):

“A member of the blogging niche that writes, reads, and discusses topics related to relationships, sex, kink, sexual perversity. Basically, really enjoys talking about… fucking.”

So, yesss…I sure do love to write about fucking, but in my own delicately highbrow way, of course.  My brows just don’t really go all that low.  They never have.  To be honest I am hopelessly intellectual and also an eternal romantic; I love to romance the prose of life into poetry, that is my pleasure, you know.

The lovely Ms. Pussy passed along some juicy questions for each recipient of this award.  She also suggested that each thank the person who nominated you, cite your favorite post from their site, and link to their blog, which I just did above, like a good little girl.

The questions are:

1) What’s the kinkiest thing you’ve ever done?

2) What do you now know about sex that you wish you’d have known earlier in life?

3) Is there any gutter fantasy you’d like to try?(tell us what it is)

4)What’s the funniest bedroom situation you’ve ever been in?

5) Has gutter blogging taught you anything?

6) What is your favorite post from the person who nominated you?

So I will start with praising beautiful Ms. Pussy of Cliterary Review before I plunge into the gutter-depths of my own psyche.  I really love a lot of her posts, as she tends to beautifully illuminate some of the underlying feelings and power dynamics that so engage our emotions in our erotic scenarios, but I think my favorite right now is Chocolate Musings http://www.cliteraryreview.com/2013/04/01/chocolate-musings/, as let’s face it I am obsessed with food and sex and all the metaphorical relationships between the two.  You could say I am orally fixated.  Yet I am not easily pleased; I am a snobby gourmet with a very discerning palate and Pussy’s offerings are like no standard candy bar that you can buy at the convenience store, they are quite refined and sumptuous.

Now as to the kinkiest thing I’ve ever done, this was a little bit of a hard one for me, as tho I love a good spanking as much as the next girl, I’m really not a very kinky person per se.  A couple of things came to mind but the one I will share was: one time my partner slid my g-string inside my pussy and pressed his fingers in and played with it, and then pulled it out and wrapped the string on his tongue and kissed me with it, so that we were both licking it.  He gets off on eating body fluids like that.  Very tantric.  I like panties and of course I get off on pleasing him.  That’s just my vanilla-style naturally submissive nature.  I love to please my man.

There are many things that I now know about sex that I wish I had known earlier in life, but I think the most important thing for me was about having an orgasm during sex.  When I was younger, I used to fake orgasms because I could not figure out how to get myself to cum during sex.  Then finally with one boyfriend I was really comfortable with, I had the courage to try touching myself the way I do when I masturbate while he was fucking me.  Oooh it worked!  And so I share my experience with the hope that it will empower others to create a comfortable space for themselves with their partners in which they can truly explore what gives them pleasure, sans shame and inhibition.

As to gutter fantasies that I’d like to try, I am finding that for me what is truly erotic is mystery, anticipation, something slightly withheld but hinted at, pleasures slowly revealed and then more fully indulged in.  I recently read of the concept of “festival time” or an experience of time that unfolds outside of ordinary reality and the day to day world, a state in which you are suspended in the thrall of hedonistic pleasures with no care to the clock.  I want to go into the bedroom with my partner and enter “festival time” and very slowly and subtly tease each other into greater states of pleasure.  Massage each other with hot oils, with hot stones, with crystal wands, tickle each other with feathers, listen to sensual music, fill the room with luscious scents, lick and taste every part of our bodies, and…well…you get the idea 😉

The funniest bedroom situation that I’ve ever been in?  Was maybe when I was fucking a guy and all of  a sudden he had a seizure.  That was kinda crazy.  After that he told me I was too intense for him, and he could not have sex with me again.  He was a bipolar punk rocker.  I guess he just couldn’t handle a woman this powerful he he he.

Now as to the question of whether “gutter blogging” has taught me anything, that is an interesting one.  I started writing erotic poetry to channel my feelings about one particular partner that I have had a very intense sexual and emotional relationship with.  At first I just sent him the poems that came and he got all turned on by them and flattered me by saying that I should submit my poetry to Playboy magazine.  I made a blog instead, tho I did not particularly expect anyone to read it and so was pleasantly surprised when you beautiful readers started appearing and liking and commenting and following etc.  Then I broke up with that guy and dated another guy for a time and some poems came through that were inspired by being with him.  Then like an idiot he broke up with me and the first guy inevitably was begging to return to my bed.  A lot for me to process emotionally, but blogging allowed me to step outside of the emotional space of the relationships to some degree and own my experiences and my perspectives as mine.  To define myself as a sensual woman outside of the context of one partner, one relationship.  To flirt with creating my own image of myself.

So that’s a little bit about me, now here, without further adieu, are my chosen nominees for Fabulous Gutter Blogger Award so I can pay the love forward:

1. Magenta Nero http://www.magentanero.wordpress.com

I absolutely love this blog, such graceful poetry and prose, exploring the darkness and light hidden within the individual and collective unconscious.

2. Sex and the Shameless http://www.sexandtheshameless.wordpress.com

This blog is a delicious pleasure to read, like a serial novel; it reminds me of a gutter version of Bridget Jones Diary, well written, thoughtful and clever.

3. Black Satin http://www.jacquezyon.wordpress.com

Spiritual, sensual, thoughtful, insightful erotic poetry and prose blog.  A poet like this is my weakness. I can tell that when it comes to seduction, he is armed and dangerous.

4. Mitzihell  www.mitzihell.wordpress.com

This blog is so sassy, funny, sexy and awesome.

So love to all y’all and thanks for inspiring me and supporting me.
